"If you don't appoint, you won't be disappointed." These words began a conversation with myself the other day. I was thinking about my teenage son--how he is unfolding into his own person and how my husband and I are learning to adjust to that. As part of that process, I have become aware of how we have set him up, or "appointed" him to be something for us in so many ways.
More and more often I am hearing my own guidance come to me in the form of my own voice, sometimes out loud and sometimes as an internal voice. It often feels right to write down what is being said. It helps it to flow and it helps me remember it later. (read on...)

When my Yoga for Women book first came out, I received many wonderful comments about it. My favorite was from a beaming woman who came up to me and said, "I love your book! I sit on my couch by my fireplace, and I read your book, and let it sink in....and I feel exactly like I am doing yoga!" And I laughed and said to her, "Well, if you can do that, more power to you!"
I don't teach as many women's classes as I would like, so I am looking forward to this one coming up in Columbia....just one little afternoon, but a very uplifting and powerful little afternoon!
The Kundalini Yoga for Women course will take place on Saturday May 3, 2008 from 12 PM to 6 PM in Columbia, Maryland.

Speaking of the newness of spring, childrensyoga.com is getting a breath of new life as well. The site is being remolded so it is more clear and simple to use, more visually inspiring, and has more of YOU, the Radiant Child teacher.
We are looking to post high quality photos of Radiant Child Yoga teachers with their students. If you have a photo or two of you teaching children, or children doing yoga, please send them to me with a sentence or two about the photo. Once accepted, we will put them in our Radiant Child Yoga Teacher's Gallery.
Be sure to have written/email permission from parents of the children who are in the photo, and then send them to info@childrensyoga.com. |

If you are looking to expand your yogic experiences, why not try one of our other courses. I wanted to share my thoughts about a very special course, Heart and Soul Work with Children- actually it is my favorite course to teach.
I love it because it is so real, and the people who come experience themselves as that reality. We become the essence of yoga. This course has a leading edge approach to living in awareness.

Heart & Soul Work with Children: Making Friends with Ourselves & Our Children - May 27th, 2008 7 PM EDT
Who are these children? Why are they here? What do they bring to our lives? What are the challenges they present? How can we turn the challenges into gifts? These are some of the ideas that we will explore in this interactive lecture. This tele-class is open to all-parents, teachers, anyone who wants to gain a true and deep connection with the child within and without.
