Teaching in China |
||
| S.S. Hari Nam Singh and his wife, Kulwant Kaur from Portland, Oregon recently returned from teaching in China. Hong Kong, BeiJing and Shanghai communities hosted Hari Nam Singh¡¯s weekend workshop entitled, ¡°Strong As Steel, Steady As Stone.¡± The experience offers a way to integrate the technology of Kundalini Yoga and the teachings of the Sikh masters, particularly Guru Gobind Singh, to inspire infinite courage in the heart of the student. |
It was well attended and all |

| Life in Bolivia, or How a destiny begins to Unfold... | ||
| This is S.S. Dharma Kaur Khalsa writing from the Heart of South America, at 14,000 feet in La Paz, Bolivia. How does a Chilean born, German descendant lawyer become an American Citizen, a Sikh, a Yogi, and a Kundalini Yoga Teacher, and end up traveling through South America for months at a time spreading the Word of Nanak, the Grace of Guru Ram Das and the Spirit of Guru Gobind Singh?! The story is long and some day you might be able to read it completely. For now, let¡¯s just say that the conscious seed that would sprout this quest was planted in 2001 by Yogi Bhajan. He told me personally that it was my destiny to represent him some day in ¡°all those countries where they speak your language (Spanish), because I won¡¯t be able to go any more, to contribute to build the Khalsa Nation.¡± It is by contrast and opposites that we learn to appreciate and that is what this journey has become: appreciation of all the blessings that I encounter day after day, in me and around me: A beautiful sangat and an amazing country. A loving family has opened their hearts and arms, making a new home for me in this part of the world. But not all has been receiving, a lot has also been giving, and day after day the little seeds planted are becoming evident: people taking courageous steps in their lives, students committing to a daily practice of intense kriyas, children enlisting to be students of Miri Piri Academy in India, daily evening meditations for Guru Ram Das Ji¡¯s birthday at the homes of the Sangat members, and a monthly Gurdwara, to name a few. And on the other side is an amazing personal journey of growth and expansion that is making me the teacher that I am destined to be. With Bolivia as my ¡°home base¡± in South America, I have begun this journey, which my beloved teacher, Yogi Ji, entrusted to me, and Guru carved on my forehead. Humbly, I bow to this mission that I am finally allowed to fulfill. |
